Guatemala Recap: 6K Trees Planted
Agroforestry is a type of agriculture that incorporates the planting, cultivation, and conservation of trees alongside crops or livestock farming. It’s a model of land management that integrates the unique relationships within a given ecosystem, and offers benefits on many fronts – environmental, economic, and/or social.
There’s nothing more hopeful and inspiring than seeing kids and young adults get excited about making a positive difference for their environment. After all, it is future generations who will experience the greatest impact of both deforestation and reforestation.
Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when humanity’s demand for ecological resources and services in a given year exceeds what Earth can regenerate in that same year.
